Kishnee Theus is the founder and managing attorney of Theus Law P.A., an immigration and personal injury law firm. The firm focuses on representing clients in all types of family-based immigration matters and injury matters.


Kishnee earned her bachelor’s degree in political science with a pre-law concentration from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. Kishnee graduated from WMU Thomas M. Cooley Law School with honors and received multiple merit-based scholarships. Her awards include the Florida Bar’s Young Lawyer’s Division scholarship, WMU Cooley Law School’s tuition scholarship, and the Alumni Memorial Scholarship. Kishnee was also the recipient of the Leadership Achievement Award and voted Student of the Year in 2019. Kishnee also received several Certificate of Merit awards for earning the highest grade in the following courses: Torts II, Legal Research and Writing, Legal Advocacy, Immigration Law, and Trial Skills.



Kishnee has managed an array of cases, including car accidents, slip and falls, train accidents, visa processing, consular processing, green card applications, deportation defense, applications for Temporary Protected Status and citizenship applications.


Kishnee was admitted to the Florida bar in 2020. Right before swearing into the Florida bar, Kishnee accepted an offer as an attorney for the State of Florida where she remains part-time as a senior attorney for Children’s Legal Services.


In 2022, Kishnee was admitted to practice before federal immigration courts and the Southern District of Florida. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Haitian American Lawyers Association, and the Sheree Davis Cunningham Black Women Lawyers Association.
